I'll give you a permanent parking spot, and be the iguana to your rock every now and then if that is what you so desire.
I don't think friendship is by any means a short straw. It frustrates me that you may think so because I know that it could be worth every second of your time.
If I stripped away circumstance and adolescence from the months we had, then all that would be left would be the solidity of our old friendship. Don't forget that I was once more than just a girl you loved, I was a girl you trusted, and a friend you depended on. As were you to me, and just because we progressed to something more glamorous doesn't mean anything changed under the bows and wrapping paper.
It's hard to shed someone whose shape began to define the way you grew. I always knew that this would be difficult, and you would let go, but I guess I expected that we could weather it too. Sometimes I suppose your own expectations can handicap you worse than any other person's actions could.
You and I have nothing to lose and everything to gain from this. So please be brave. If you take the time to let me get to know the lines of your new smile, this could be something great.
