I write with your pen,
But these aren't your words.
I may make your heart race,
But I still can't catch your soul.
Nothings enough when you want it all or nothing.

You're always alone,
Even when wrapped in a crowd,
You can drown their voices out,
But your thoughts are so loud.
Sqeeze your eyes shut and taste the blackout quickly.

The day passes you by,
If feels like there's so much to do,
But movement just hurts,
And stillness does too.
Your waking dreams are no sanctuary.

So you get into bed,
And leave on the lights,
You're not afraid of the dark,
But it makes your memories so bright.
And tonight, the past is not a place you want to wander.

Your fingers are cold,
And your mind is so numb.
Stranded alone in your mind,
You are both deaf and dumb.
Just stay and wait for the sun to breath you into meaning.
